I

Day – We have a direct state transport bus from 7:00 Esplanade, Kolkata to Bakkhali. We are charged for every Rs.70. An interesting part of this trip was crossing the river near Namkhana on a barge.

The bus itself is transported from one side of the river to the other on this ship. The process was a bit time consuming, but also gave us the opportunity to have a short walk around the field and take some interesting photographs of fishing boats and other port related activities. The bus finally reached our destination at 11.00 clock.

We paddled a van booked from the bus stop to the reservation to look at different hotels. Fortunately, or you can say, unfortunately, we have got accommodation in a hotel just 5 minutes walk from the bus station and 10 minutes walk from the beach. The room was big enough, with two double beds four of us have to share with our own space. We paid Rs.500 for the room and it was a decent bargain.
